LONDON (GBR): UK Athletics announced the selections for the Aviva Great Britain and Northern Ireland team that will compete at the IAAF World Youth Championships in Lille. Headline names such as top-ranked UK under-20s Sophie McKinna, Zak Seddon and Georgia Peel lead a group of 24 athletes who will take part in the event – the youngest age group global championships available to athletes and a crucial step in the development of Britain’s future stars.
BOSTON (USA): The Boston Athletic Association announced today that Sam Chelanga, 14-time All-American and NCAA Record Holder over 10.000m, will be running the inaugural B.A.A. 10K on Sunday, June 26. The race will be Chelanga’s first as a professional athlete after graduating from Liberty University.
