POLOTSK (BLR): Olympic silver medalist in hammer throw Vadim Devyatovskiy of Belarus married on Saturday with his girl-friend Olga who is a lawyer. They initially planned the wedding after Beijing Olympic Games but the initial disqualification of Devyatovskiy made it not possible. The thrower said his main goal now is to win at London Games 2012.

KINGSTON (JAM): Sprinting world and olympic winner Veronica Campbell-Brown heads a list of four individuals shortlisted by the selection committee for the Courtney Walsh Award for Excellence. The others are Jomo Pitterson, International Master chess champion, Aleen Bailey, track athlete and David Summerbell Jnr, international motor racing champion. Writes Jamaica Observer.
