TRONDHEIM (NOR, Oct 24): Norwegian triumph on home soil at Nordic CC Championships. Home team won 6 out of 8 gold medals. In senior race at 9 km Sondre Nordstad Moen achieved 27:47 ahead of Dabaya Badyaso 27:48 and Swedish star Mustafa Mohamed 28:11. Best overall was Kenyan guest Hillary Kipchumba (27:47). Best Finnish Jussi Utriainen was 5th (28:27) and best from Danemark Morten Munkholm 6th (28:32). In women 7.5 km Karoline Bjerkeli Grovdal achieved 26:41 to beat team-mate Kirsten Maraton Melkevik 26:47 and Sandra Eriksson of Finland (27:08). Johann Brugge of Norway was the best junior (19:36 at 6 km) and only non-Norwegian individual win for Saara Nikander of Finland in women junior 4.5 km race (16:53). In teams Norway won all categories except of junior women where Sweden was the best side.
