EUGENE (USA): Trackfocus.com writes that Oregon-based sprinter Ryan Bailey (improved last summer to 9.88 and 20.10) has a talented new training partner to work with. Jordan Boase, who ran 44.82 seconds for 400 meters at the University of Washington, has moved into the area and will work with Bailey’s coach, John Parks. Boase, who made it to the semifinals of the Olympic Trials 400 meters as a UW junior, has spent the past year training in Tallahassee, Fla. Boase considered a move to Los Angeles, but it proved too expensive. In Beaverton, Bailey and Boase have access to Nike training facilities, especially crucial during the rainy winter.
ORLANDO (USA): US coach of the year Brooks Johnson believes former champion Justin Gatlin should follow Dwain Chambers road to a comeback in the next two years.
