LAS VEGAS (USA, Dec 5): Poland´s Dorota Gruca won the Las Vegas Rock´n´Roll Marathon exactly on the day of her 40th birthday in 2:44:31. She is this years national champion and has 2:27:46 life-time best from Helsinki World Championships race in 2005. Josh Cox was the best man in 2:25:05. Scott Bauhs won the men's half-marathon in 1:02.39 and Jen Rhines the women's in 1:14:57. More than 28,000 runners began the race. Local media are informing.

BELO HORIZONTE (BRA, Dec 5): Kenyan Barnabas Kosgei won the 12th Pampulha road race at 17.8 km with 54:08 ahead of his team-mate Mark Korir (54:10) and best Brazilian of the day Damiao Ancelmo de Souza (54:14). In women´s race also win for Kenya as Bornes Jepkirui clocked 1:05:12 ahead of Edielza Alves Guimaraes 1:05:59.
