LONDON (GBR): World and European bronze medallist Jenny Meadows has decided not to compete at the Commonwealth Games in October. Meadows had Achilles problems throughout her outdoor campaign and doesn’t want to take any risks with the World championships and Olympic Games in the next two years. Meadows did already decide she will compete this indoor season as a preparation for the next outdoor season confirms morethanthegames.co.uk.
RESULTS
SZCZECIN (POL, Aug 15): European silver medalist Maksim Mazuryk of Ukraine cleared 560 to win 6th Night Pole Vault meet on the street. Second Russian Aleksandr Gripich also had 560 and third Czech Jan Kudlicka 550. Only fourth the European bronze winner and local star Przemyslaw Czerwinski (540).
