BUDAPEST (HUN): Hungarian Athletes of the Year 2009 are hammer thrower Krisztian Pars who was fourth at World Championships and runner Krisztina Papp who was Berlin 5000 m finalist. Coach of the year is Ferenc Csoma. The awards were give at Athletes Ball last weekend.

SAN PIETRO CLARENZA (ITA, Nov 22): At Etna Race Walking international road competition Giorgio Rubino won the 5 km in 20:18 after close race with 2004 Olympic winner Ivano Brugnetti who had the same 20:18. Spanish veteran Jesus Angel Garcia was third (20:20). In the women 3 km the 2007 winner Agnese Ragonesi won in 13:03 ahead of Swiss Laura Polli (13:05).

SAO PAULO (BRA, Nov 22): Also here Kenyan wins at Sao Paulo 10 km road race for Titus Kibii (29:38) and Maurine Jelagat (34:26).
