TORONTO (CAN): The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) announced that Jacob Zorzella-Manners, an athletics athlete, has received a two-month sanction for an anti-doping rule violation. The violation occurred during in-competition doping control on June 25, 2011 and resulted from the athlete’s urine sample returning an adverse analytical finding for cannabis. He is this years Canadian triple jump champion with 15.80 personal best.

LONDON (GBR): Mo Farah and Dai Greene, Britain’s two newest athletics heroes, have joined together with some of the sport’s greatest names from the past, including Denise Lewis and Jonathan Edwards, to back London’s bid to host the 2017 World Championships at the Olympic Stadium writes Insidethegames. They have all been unveiled as official ambassadors for the bid, the first significant initiative by UK Athletics since the campaign was officially launched earlier this year. Other ambassadors unveiled include Phillips Idowu and Hannah England. Sally Gunnell, the 1992 Olympic 400m hurdles champion, Steve Cram, the 1983 world 1500m champion and former world mile record holder, and Roger Black, the 1996 Olympic 400m silver medallist, complete the line-up.
