DES MOINES (USA, Oct 16): African wins at Des Moines Marathon. Kenyan James Kirwa got 2:12:54 and Ethiopian Atalelech Asfaw 2:37:55 in women race.


OTHER RESULTS

CREMONA (ITA, Oct 16): New Italian HM record at the Maratonina Città di Cremona for Nadia Ejaffini with 1:08:27. Second Valeria Straneo was timed with 1:09:42 and third Fatna Maraoui 1:10:08. In men´s race Eric Chirchir achieved 1:02:17 ahead of Mark Bett 1:02:21 and Rwandan Jean-Baptiste Simukeka 1:02:24 PB.

BEIJING (CHN): Mirko Jalava clarifies the Beijing Marathon women winner. Apparently there were two distance runners in China named "Wei Jie" this season. The other one decided to change her name to "Wei Xiaojie" to avoid confusion. The winner of the Beijing marathon is a 22-year-old athlete, the same as the winner of Zhengzhou marathon earlier this season in 2:26. She is from city of Dalian in Liaoning Province. The other one is born in 1993 and ran 15:40.31 5000m and 32:53.63 10000m there. She is from Jiangsu Province.
