COLUMBIA (USA): Mizzou track and field head coach Brett Halter has announced that Teri Cantwell will complete his coaching staff as an assistant coach for the program, specializing in the throws and horizontal and vertical jumps. Cantwell, formerly Teri Steer, is an accomplished shot putter and was an Olympian in 2000 and a two-time NCAA National Champion in the event. Cantwell is also married to former Tiger Christian Cantwell, who is currently dominating the shot put as a post collegian. The university website informs.

TILBURG (NED): Lornah Kiplagat and Hilda Kibet are the favourites for the Tilburg Ten Miles on September 5. Kiplagat holds the course record in the Tilburg Ladies Run 10K with 30:59 while Kibet recently ran 31:01. Other interesting name is Ethiopian Meselech Melkamu who was second in the 10000m at last year’s World Championships. For Europe Hungarian Anika Kalovics and British Emily Pidgeon toe the starting line. In the men’s race Ethiopian Ayele Abshero is favourite as well as John Mwangangi and Abere Kuma. Belgians Tom Van Hooste and Stefan Vandenbroeck and Dutch Partick Stitzinger and Koen Raijmaekers are also in the race.
