BOLT WINS, OLIVER GETS AGAIN CLOSER TO WR

Men

100 m: Despite not beeing in top shape still enough to win. Bolt clocks meet record 9.84 (-0.3). Powell beaten by 0.07 and third Blake life-time best 9.95. Lemaitre got his valuable lesson, fifth 10.09.

400 m: Jermaine Gonzales was closing and achieved PB of 44.63 but still not enough to beat former world champ Wariner whio lowered the world lead for second time in a row to 44.49. Third Jonathan Borlee 44.77, Belgian record and European lead 2010.

800 m: Kaki controlled the race in 1:43.50. World champion Mulaudzi second 1:44.11, reigning Euro gold medalist Som is coming into shape in right time 1:44.58 and NCAA Champ Wheating in his pro debut a PR of 1:44.62 fourth. European leader Lewandowski initially third (1:44.40) was disqualified for running out of his lane.

Steeple: Olympic gold medalist Kipruto was again faster and improved his best and own world lead to 8:00.90. He clearly beat his main Kenyan rivals. Best non-African Polish champ Szymkowiak as 8th with life-time best 8:18.23.

110mH: When he would lean up better at the finish line he could have the world record. But Oliver is again closer 12.89 (+0.5) to the global mark. Should be added that it is US record, world lead and meet record. Wilson good second 13.12 and NCAA champ Ash third 13.21.

LAUSANNE (SUI): The CAS has overruled a decision by the IOC and decided the seven teammates of Marion Jones should be given back their relay medals of the 2000 Olympic Games. The US athletes were forced to give back their medals after Marion Jones admitted she used performance enhancing drugs during those Olympic Games. Athletes part of the 4x400m relay squad were Jearl Miles-Clark, Monique Hennagan, LaTasha Colander Clark and Andrea Anderson, part of the 4x100m team were Chryste Gaines, Torri Edwards, Nanceen Perry and Passion Richardson.
