LONDON (GBR): UK Athletics has announced its team for the World junior championships in Canada. 45 juniors will head down to Moncton as part of the Aviva Great Britain and Northern Ireland team. Big names on the team are decathlete David Guest, who scored 7727 with senior implements, UK junior record holder in the 110H Jack Meredith and recent UK senior champions Holly Bleasdal (pole vault) and Laura Samuel (triple jump). Also on the team is double world youth champion Jodie Williams. 16 of the selected athletes are ranked in the top eight of the world.

100 m: Bolt is back, main rival could be Yohan Blake.

200 m: Newly crowned US 100m champion Walter Dix is the top name.

400m: Jeremy Wariner will take on US champion Greg Nixon and US finalist Calvin Smith in a rematch for his missed US national championships final in which he dropped out because of injury.

800m: Kenyan sensation David Rudisha will go out for another top performance but will be challenged by world gold medalists Mbulaeni Mulaudzi and Alfred Yego Kirwa

1500 m: World leader Augustine Choge is in shape but also Prefontaine top milers Amine Laalou, Gideon Gathimba and Daniel Kipchirchir Komen.
