MONTE CARLO (MON): IAAF confirmed that also last senior world track record achieved in 2009 was ratified. It is the 4x1500 m men relay 14:36.23 by Kenya at Van Damme Memorial in Brussels at Golden League finale. The team was composed of William Biwott, Gideon Gathimba, Geoffrey Rono and Augustine Choge. Still remaining are senior road marks 1:27:49 of Haile Gebrselassie as split from Berlin Marathon at 30 km and Tirunesh Dibaba 46:28 at 15 km in Nijmegen in November.

SOFIA (BUL): Interesting meeting at the assembly of Bulgarian Athletics Federation. World record holder and current National Olympic Committee president Stefka Kostadinova awarded her former husband and coach Nikolay Petrov for exceptional merits in the sport. The two who are no longer together for many years even exchanged some words and a hug.
