MAGDEBURG (GER): World championships shot put silver medalist Nadine Kleinert is not sure about her participation in the coming indoor season. Four weeks ago she started with training but then started to claim about elbow pain. Medical examinations showed fortunately that a surgery is not necessary. She is planning a special therapy and hopes to be back in training soon. She still plans to compete at World Indoors in Doha in winter.

JOHANNESBURG (RSA): Athletics South Africa was stable after its board was suspended and replaced with an interim leadership body in the fall-out from the Caster Semenya scandal, the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (Sascoc) claimed. Ray Mali, the Board member of the Sascoc who has taken temporary control of the ASA, said: „It is safe to say that we stabilised things at ASA.” Writes insidethegames.biz. He said the disciplinary hearing against Chuene and the board would start early in the New Year and would conclude within six months.

LONDON (GBR): Berlin 1500 m silver medalist Lisa Dobriskey will spend her honeymoon while preparing for early next year cross-country outing at Bupa Great Edinburgh International Cross Country (Jan 9). The English runner, who recently married former Olympic 800 meters runner Ricky Soos (1:45.70, 2004), is currently training in Kenya at high-altitude. British media are writing. She is scheduled to compete in the 6 km race in Edinburgh.
