OSLO (NOR): Third IAAF Diamond League meet on Friday in Oslo will have 13 olympic gold medalist and 28 world champions competing. Many world leads and meet records will be under threat. EME NEWS offers a short preview by events at famous Bislett Stadium:


MEN
100 m: Asafa Powell is so far unbeaten, will run mainly against the clock, meet record 9.88 and his world lead 9.83 under threat.
800 m: Very special duel Rudisha vs. Kaki, should be one of the highlighst in this Scandinavian running paradise, meet record is tough 1:42.33, but world lead under 1:43 could be a reality.
Mile: Dream mile title defender Derese Mekonen looks like clear favorite, but olympic winner Asbel Kiprop is also in the shape, meet record maybe not (3:44.90), but world lead for sure.

SVERDLOVSK (RUS): The Gubernator (regional prime minister) of Sverdlovsk region Alexander Misharin invited 800 m European Champion Olga Kotlyarova to work in his office. She will deputy chief officer of the region for sport. Kotlyarova at age of 34 years ended her career already.

SAN DIEGO (USA): South African Hendrick Ramaala, with her PB of 2:06:55, will lead a field of 30 000 entrants at Rock ‚n‘ Roll San Diego Marathon and half marathon, June 6. Ramaala will line up against Khalid El Boumlili of Morocco, as well as Richard Limo of Kenya. At the men‘s field will be Simon Wangi of Kenya, Meshack Kirwa and William Chebor.
