DES MOINES (USA): After placing second in the 3000m junior race at the USATF national junior championships Jordan Hasay plans to compete in the 3000m at the IAAF World junior championships in July. Hasay ran 9:18.92 for the 3000m and is planning to compete in the 1500m as well at the USATF junior nationals, should she qualify she will also compete in the 1500m at the IAAF World Junior Championships.
LOS ANGELES (USA): Usain Bolt, Sanya Richards and Allyson Felix have been named nominees as best track and field athletes for the ESPY Awards. Usain Bolt was also nominated for the best record breaking performance based on his double world record breaking performance at the IAAF World championships in Berlin. The ESPY awards are staged by TV channel ESPN and allows sport fans all over the world to vote online for their favorite athletes.
