LAUSANNE (SUI): The Diamond League Athletissima of Lausanne announced for July 8 an excellent pole vault duel of World Champion Steven Hooker (the series ambassador) against top French vaulters Renaud Lavillenie and Romain Mesnil. Other announced stars are Usain Bolt for 200 m, Jeremy Wariner for 400 m and David Rudisha for 800 m. Meet director Jacky Delapierre informed Swiss media that already 10 000 from the 14 800 available tickets are sold.

NEW ORLEANS (USA): The 2011 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be conducted in the same general format that was used for the first time in 2010. NCAA is informing after reviewing this years competitions. Preliminary rounds will be held May 26-28 at sites to be determined and final rounds will be held on June 8-11 in Des Moines, Iowa.
