MANCHESTER (GBR): Jo Pavey‘s first major race since becoming a mother last September will be at the Bupa Great Manchester Run on May 16. Writes David Martin. Pavey, after giving birth to her first child Jacob, is again hammering out the miles in training as she looks to recommence her career. Pavey, winner here in 2007 and 12 months later said: „I am very excited about running in Manchester again. I am very fond of the event and have many great memories from competing there. It always has such a great atmosphere and great crowd support. The course is to my liking as it is fast and flat and it is always a good competitive race.“
