SHANGHAI (CHN, Feb 26): Tilastopaja informs about 60 m hurdles race where Yin Jing won in 7.95 and Chinese hero Liu Xiang was timed only at 8.05. It remains to be seen what will happen with his Doha participation.

DOLORES HIDALGO (MEX, Feb 27): Colombian guest Luis Fernando Lopez won the Mexican trials 20 km walking race for IAAF World Cup to be held in May in Mexico. He clocked 1:25:16 ahead of bronze winner from Berlin Eder Sanchez who achieved 1:25:27. Third Daniel Gomez got 1:27:58 ahead of Bernardo Segura (1:28:00) and Claudio Vargas (1:28:12).

ALBUQUERQUE (USA): Universalsports.com informs that, US distance star Dathan Ritzenhein announced that he will not represent the U.S. team at the World Cross-Country Championships on March 28 in Poland. Ritzenhein said that nagging injuries and illness have prevented him from properly training for the event. A replacement for Ritzenhein on the U.S. squad has not yet been named.
