TOP RESULTS



VILLEURBANNE (FRA, Jan 9): In the second meet of French Pole Vault series Perche Elite Tour world finalist Damiel Dossevi won with 562. Second place for Greek record holder Kostas Filippidis who went over 552 as the third Jerome Clavier. Fourth Steve Lewis of Great Britain cleared 542 cm. His country-mate and UK record holder Kate Dennison was second in women competition with 432. The same 432 also for winning Maria Tavares of Portugal. Top two French vaulters Renaud Lavillenie and Romain Mesnil did not compete.

CLEMSON (USA, Jan 9): Leford Green, Jamaican Berlin 4x400 relay participant achieved 1:02.76 at 500 m during Clemson Invitational meet

NICE (FRA, Jan 10): European CC participant Badre Din Zoini won the Nice 10 km road race in 29:02. Luc Letellier as second was three seconds behind (29:05). Former Algerian world medalist Ali Saidi-Sief ended fourth in 29:18 in his 10k debut. Olympian Fatima Yvelain was the best woman in 32:52 two seconds ahead of World CC participant Christine Bardelle (32:54).

LONDON (GB): World silver 1500m medalist Lisa Dobriskey considers competing at this year’s world cross country championships instead of running a series of indoor competitions. In The Scotsman Dobriskey admitted being torn between the decision of competing indoors or going to Poland for the World Championships cross country. ‘We‘re still thinking of possibly targeting cross country and not racing a full indoor season depending on what sort of shape I‘m in and how things are going’ Dobriskey said. She is already committed to Glasgow match and Birmingham IAAF Permit indoors.
