TALLINN (EST): Top Cuban multi-eventers will compete at International Estonian multi-events Championships on February 12-13 in Tallinn. Berlin silver medalist Leonel Suarez is the headliner together with Yordanis Garcia and Yunior Diaz. The event is replacing the Erki Nool Reval Cup. Also multi-eventers from Finland and Latvia entered into the event.

VANCOUVER (CAN): More former track athletes in bob teams. Briton Allyn Condon will be only second from his country to compete at both summer and winter games. Condon (35) ran in Sydney in the 4x100 m heats as his team was disqualified. His bests were 10.21 and 20.53. In Poland´s bob former sprinters Marcin Niewiara (10.52 and 21.32) and Marcin Placheta (21.19 in the 200 m). Michal Zblewski competed in decathlon.

POTCHEFSTROOM (RSA): Estonian media are informing about successful training camp of discus olympic winner Gerd Kanter in Potchefstroom. Despite conditions he is throwing regularly over 66 meters. His coach Vesteinn Hafsteinsson was quoted as saying, that his shape is right there where it should be in January.
