MOSCOW (RUS): Also at Russian Winter on February 7 men´s long jump will have interesting names competing. Former world triple champion Walter Davis and former world indoor medalist from US Miguel Pate are the main names. Berlin 7th placer is Gable Garenamotse of Botswana, European indoor medalist from Torino Marcin Starzak from Poland. Russians will be represented by last year European junior champion Aleksandr Menkov.

NEW YORK (USA): Bennie Brazell, a former 400m hurdler (47.67 in 2005), who reached the final of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and was a 14 times All-American while in college, was selected for the USA Rugby team that will play at the IRB Sevens World Series in Wellington and Las Vegas. Brazell, who was a NFL wide receiver as part of the Cincinnati Bengals squad in 2006, will first travel to Fiji with the USA squad to participate at the international Sevens at Suva’s Rugby festival.

LONDON (GBR): BBC website writes that Premier League club West Ham would have to keep a running track if they want to move into the Olympic Stadium after the Games, London 2012. New West Ham owner David Sullivan said the east London club wants to leave Upton Park for the Olympic Stadium in nearby Stratford. London Mayor Boris Johnson is also keen on a football club taking over the running costs of the stadium. But the decision will have to be taken by the Olympic Park Legacy Company.
